👤About

My name is Rafal and my friends call me Cpac. I love to climb mountains. At the age of 17 I climbed the virgin peaks in Kyrgyzstan. Two years later I climbed mount Elburs (5642m). My adventures helped me realising how much energy it requires to climb a mountain. I have decided to make better use of this energy by trying to help others. I then chose to travel to the Dutch lowlands to educate myself. Consequently I graduated as BSc in International Business from Maastricht University and as MSc in International Management-CEMS from Erasmus University, Rotterdam School of Management and Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration.

Driven by personal passion I focused my MSc thesis on researching self-efficacy (confidence) and the framing effect, which helped me to understand how our confidence levels and environment create our reality. Simply put: either we see opportunities in problems or problems in opportunities depending on our confidence levels. One can still be strong in one’s mind, but living in a negative environment will make it much more difficult to know what makes one’s clock tick by following one’s heart and passion.

Since our subconsciousness, that drives our lives, is mostly influenced by news that are usually negative, I have decided to create media on the positive side and add value to creating balance in the world. Positive media platform is focused on people that see opportunities in problems – social entrepreneurs. Together with devoted friends we have set up SENStation – Social Entrepreneurship Network Station – to empower people to see opportunities in problems through sharing positive news of social entrepreneurs.

💿What is the problem?

By nature we humans are risk-averse beings. We tend to be attracted more to negative news, because it might bring along events changing our status quo. Negative news lowers the levels of trust in societies, which are in their turn even more attracted to negative news than to positive news. Thus media are tempted to present emphasize negative news. On the one hand side their objective is to provide us with the latest news, but on the other side their business models are based on a number of customers that are more attracted to negative news. In turn we observe reality in more negative fashion than reality perpetuates. The fundamental issue lies in that once news influences our subconsciousness, we start to think negatively and crate inner and outer imbalance. Now read the quote above again!

What is the opportunity

Create more media platforms presenting problems, but at the same time suggesting concrete solutions. Share more real positive news to build trust in societies. Improving business models of media organisations to create a more natural balance and better life for all of us.

I am bringing SENS to Life by creating open positive media!
