GC² Regulations

 

THE GLOBAL COOPERATIVE CHALLENGE (GC²) REGULATIONS

By signing up to the GC² you agree to have read and understand the following Regulations regarding the GC² pertaining to the following content:

§ 1 Definitions

The words and expressions used in these Regulations have the following meaning, unless not clearly stated otherwise within the provisions of the Regulations:

  1. the “Company” or “SENStation” – Senstation Sp. Z o.o.
  2. the “SENStation Team” – volunteers working together on organizing the GC²
  3. a “Participant” – a natural person or legal person taking part in the GC²  as a member or supporter of a Project including Student, Professional, Organization, Academic, Investor Media Partner or Visitor
  4. a “Student” – a natural person forming the Team and coming up with the Project during the Ideation Stage.
  5. a “Professional” – a natural person being a Coach or Mentor for the Project participating in the GC²
  6. an “Organization” – a legal person e.g. corporation, non-profit organization, network supporting the GC² through providing Services, Coaches or Mentors.
  7. a “Coach” – a natural person providing feedback to the Team on the constant basis during the Creation Stage and Action Stage. Only one guiding Coach can be assigned to the Team. A Coach can come from an Organization or be an independent Professional.
  8. a “Mentor” – a natural person providing at least one feedback to the Team during the Creation Stage or Action Stage. Each Team can have many mentors. A Mentor can be an independent Professional brought by SENStation or a Team.
  9. a “Service” – any kind of in kind of cash donation to SENStation, Project or Team.
  10. an ”Academic” – a natural person representing university and social entrepreneurship course and participating in the GC² with its Team.
  11. an “Investor” – a natural or legal person evaluating the projects in the Action Stage
  12. a “Media Partner” – a natural or legal person promoting GC² through its channels
  13. a “Visitor” – a natural person visiting the Platform.
  14. a “Partner” – a person that formally supports GC² ,
  15. the “Platform” – the internet based social networking site www.beta.senstation.org and all its facilities which are owned by the Company,
  16. a “Project” – any project that is being created during the GC² and submitted to f6s at www.f6s.com/gc2,
  17. a “Business Plan” – an idea described and submitted during the Creation Stage
  18. a “Project Access” – the Project can be seen and evaluated by different Participants depending on the Stage
  19. a “Participant Image” – a logo or picture submitted by Participant to GC²
  20. a “Profile Page” – part of the Platform dedicated to describe either Project, Team or Participant.
  21. a “Stage” – period of the Challenge defined under paragraph “Stages and rules of the GC²” as Ideation Stage, Creation Stage and Action Stage.
  22. the “Regulations” – the regulations that govern the GC² ,
  23. the “GC²” – the Global Cooperative Challenge organized by the Company according to the Regulations,
  24. a “Team” – a group of Participants that work on their common Project during the GC² .
  25. the “Terms of Use” – the terms of use governing the Platform.

§ 2 General Provisions

  1. The GC² is organised by SENStation in collaboration with its partners CEMS, Global Business School Network, Transparency International, McKinsey & Company and F6S.
  2. The GC² is organised via the Internet and is freely accessible from any location throughout the world under condition a specific devise connected with the Internet is provided.
  3. The Prize is founded by CEMS and currently is 2 000Euros. It can be given to one project or distributed among all projects depending on the CEMS Head Office decision.
  4. The GC² is governed by thes regulations; in the matters not governed by these regulations the SENStation and F6S Terms of Use apply accordingly.
  5. The GC² lasts from October 1st 2013 until 30 July 2014.
  6. The purpose of the GC² for the participants is to:
    “DEVELOP A SOLUTION TO A SOCIAL OR ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM THAT EITHER IMPROVES EXISTING APPROACHES OR IS RADICALLY NEW.”
  7. SENStation reserves the right to extend the time of the Challenge as a whole as well as to make amendments to certain stages of it.

§ 3 Students

  1. A student shall be a registered user of the www.f6s.com platform and submitted their application there.
  2. Students form teams that have to co-operate in the GC²
  3. A team shall consist of minimum 2 students coming from any university level, any major, any nationality
  4. Teams shall help each other.
  5. Students can freely move to different teams at any stage of the challenge. Teams can merge and create partnerships. All previous action should be communicated to the SENStation Team.
  6. Teams can have students from different schools
  7. Teams can invite mentors and experts during the GC² to provide them with feedback on www.SENStation.org or oral one.
  8. Students hereby grant consent to process their personal data for the purpose of the GC²

§ 4 Registration of Participants and Teams

  1. The registration process for Students consist of:
    1. reading information on www.beta.senstation.org/gc
    2. reading FAQ on www.beta.senstation.org/gcfaq
    3. filling in all required information at www.f6s.org/gc2
    4. agreeing with these Regulations, Terms of Use of SENStation and Terms of Use of f6s.
    5. submitting application
  2. The registration process for Professionals consists of:
    1. reading information on www.beta.senstation.org/gc for all respected stakeholders.
    2. reading FAQ on www.beta.senstation.org/gcfaq
    3. filling in all required information at www.f6s.org/gc2professionals
    4. agreeing with these Regulations, Terms of Use of SENStation and Terms of Use of f6s.
    5. submitting application
  3. The registration process for Organizations consists of:
    1. reading information on www.beta.senstation.org/gc for all respected stakeholders.
    2. reading FAQ on www.beta.senstation.org/gcfaq
    3. filling in all required information at www.f6s.org/gc2organizations
    4. agreeing with these Regulations, Terms of Use of SENStation and Terms of Use of f6s.
    5. submitting application
  4. The registration process for Universities consists of:
    1. reading information on www.beta.senstation.org/gc for all respected stakeholders.
    2. reading FAQ on www.beta.senstation.org/gcfaq
    3. filling in all required information at www.f6s.org/gc2universities
    4. agreeing with these Regulations, Terms of Use of SENStation and Terms of Use of f6s.
    5. submitting application

§ 5 Stages and rules of the GC²

  1.       The proposed schedule of the GC²  shall be the following:
    1. Stage one (from October 1st – December 15th) Ideation Stage
    2. Stage two (January 8th  – March 31st) Creation Stage; including submitting the final draft of the business plan and crowd-funding video by March 16th, presenting the project during the SENS conference on March 23rd and the voting period from March 24th until March 31st, 2014
    3. Stage three (April 1st – June 30th) Action Stage; including submitting crowd-funding period from April 1st until April 30th, submission of presentations by April 30th, final announcement of projects by June 30th.
    4. the above schedule shall be described provisional and may be altered in a minor way by the Company at the later stage of the GC². Please see the www.SENStation.org/gc2stages website for news and details of the abovementioned stages.
    5. On 23 March 2014 the worldwide conference regarding the GC² is to be conducted. Each team is obliged and privileged to take part in this event and hereby grants consent to the Company to use its image during the said conference.
    6. The crowdfunding event during the Action Stage will be governed by the separate regulations provided to the Teams in due time under www.beta.senstation.org/crowdfundingrules.

§ 6 Project Access and Participant Image

  1. Projects and ideas submitted to GC² can have the following Project Access:
    1. During the Ideation Stage: Project can be seen and evaluated by the SENStation Team and  representatives from Organizations.  Project that will not enter the next Stage might be added  to the common pool of projects of f6s either by a Student or the Company. Projects that do enter the next stage will be shared on the Platform. Information submitted to www.f6s.com will be used to create the Profile Page.
    2. During the Creation Stage: Project and Business Plan can be developed by the Team, the SENStation Team, representatives from Organizations, assigned Coaches and Mentors.
    3. During the Action Stage Project and Business Plan can be seen by the SENStation Team and all Participants.
    4. The Team always stays the legal owner of the Project.
    5. SENStation, its Partners and Organizations, reserve the right to use Participant Image(s) for communication and marketing purposes. It will help to represent both the Project, the Participant and the Platform to the outside world in a more effective way, with increasing benefits for all.

 § 7 Profile Page

  1. Profile Page will be created for the Project, the Team, and the Participant that enters the Creation Stage with the use of information submitted during the Ideation Stage at www.f6s.com
  2. Profile Page will be developed by the SENStation team during the Creation Stage and the Action Stage.
  3. Part of the Business Plan will be submitted to the Profile Page of the respected team during the Action or Creation Stage. Here it will be answers to problem and solutions questions. In addition it will be a video and some information about the team.
  4. The Team always stays the legal owner of the Project.

§ 8 Coaches and Mentors

  1. Coaches and Mentors will be assigned to the Teams by the SENStation Team and representatives from the Organizations.
  2. All Coaches and Mentors will have to agree with the following statement in order to participate in the GC²:

“As a Global Cooperative Challenge participant, I hereby commit to be guided by the following principles:

- I respect the ownership rights of the ideas I will provide feedback with
- I understand that my attitude to coach teams will reflect upon their future success and therefore I will do my best to keep them motivated and help them create positive social impact on the environment and society.
- I am driven by a desire to help others and make positive change in the world”

§ 9 Other rules of the GC²

  1. A Project not chosen to be invited to the later stages of the GC² might be included in the common pool of projects at www.f6s.com.
  2. Coaches and Mentors will be assigned by SENStation and representatives from the Organizations.
  3. The Team is to be disqualified (even without prior warning) if its Participants violates any laws, Regulations or Terms of Use.
  4. Each Participant may leave the Team at all times.
  5. If all the Participants of a Team leaves the Project becomes automatically disqualified.
  6. Any other matters such as intellectual property and privacy shall be governed by the relevant rules of law along with the Terms of Use of the SENStation Platform and Terms of Use of f6s.

§ 10 The Prize

  1. 8 finalists that enter the Action Stage will receive a package of deals from www.f6s.com.
  2. The Prize shall be guaranteed at the amount of 2000 Euros provided by CEMS Head Office distributed to the best projects either in kind or in cash.
  3. The Prize may be increased by the Organizations and Partners
  4. The Prize is intended to be spent on the implementation of the best Projects. The funding parties decide on spending the prize on 1 – 20 projects of their choice.

§ 11 Supervision & Complaints

  1. The supervision regarding the GC² is carried out by the Company especially the SENStation team.
  2. Any complaints shall be filed with the SENStation team by sending an email to gc2@beta.senstation.org.

§ 12 Liability

  1. The Company is not liable for any loss or harm of the Participants connected with the GC² unless caused intentionally.
  2. The Company is not liable for the behaviour and action of Participants towards the Team and other way round. However, the Company will do its best to select top quality Mentors and Coaches.

§ 13 Availability of the Regulations

  1. Regulations are available on the Platform at all times.
  2. Any Participant has a right to read the Regulations while being on the Platform.
  3. 3.      Regulations can be copied and stored by a Participant for their own purpose.

§ 14 Miscellaneous provisions

  1. An internet connection and an internet browser are technical requirements necessary to be able to take part in the GC².
  2. If any provisions of the Regulations shall be found null, void, unenforceable or in any other way legally ineffective, the remaining part of the Regulations shall remain in full force and effect.
  3. A Participant cannot transfer any rights or obligations under the Regulations to any third parties without a prior written consent of the Company.
  4. The Company’s rights and obligations under the Regulations can be freely  transferred or assigned to any third parties, in particular in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets or by operation of law.
  5. The Company has a right to change or amend any of the GC² regulations if necessary for due performance of the GC² .
